GENERAL
Q: “Where did the goods come from?”
We have a warehouse in the US. LifePo4 batteries ship directly from the USA.
Q: “Is there support for LifePO4 batteries?”
The Cenerius Lifepo4 battery comes with an industry-leading 10-year warranty and lifetime technical support service.
Q: “Can these batteries be connected in parallel?”
Yes, Cenerius LiFePO4 batteries can be connected in parallel or series for your 24V, 36V and 48V applications.
Q: “Can this battery be mounted on its side?”
As long as it is not inverted, it can be installed in other directions, pay attention to the positive and negative terminals against the top when placed on the side.
Q: “Does this battery provide enough cold cranking amps to be used as a starting battery for a 225hp outboard marine engine?”
Cenerius only offer deep cycle battery, our battery is not designed for starting engines, it can not be used as a cranking battery due to BMS setting.
When the boat's engine has started, the boat's engine needs continuous and reliable power for trolling motors, which is where Cenerius deep-cycle marine batteries come in.
Q: “Can I use a Minn Kota mk330pc charger that is on my boat to charge these batteries as long as the charger is on the AGM setting? And would that charge the batteries fully without any problems?”
Specific LiFePO4 battery charger is needed. Do not connect the lead-acid/SLA charger connected to Cenerius LiFePO4 battery, most lead acid chargers algorithm will not maintain the proper voltage charge algorithm for lithium batteries and damage will occur to the LiFePO4 cells beyond repair and this is not covered under Cenerius LiFePO4 battery 10 year warranty.
Q: “What are the functional problems of the built-in protection board of the battery pack?”
Overcharge protection, over discharge protection, overcurrent protection, temperature protection, short circuit protection.
Q: “Does the battery pack have a low temperature charging protection function?”
The battery pack has charging low temperature protection, -1±1 degrees will trigger the low temperature charging protection, after protection, the battery pack cannot be charged.
Q: “Does the battery pack have bluetooth?”
36V 100AH and 48V 100AH batteries, with Bluetooth function, use the mobile phone Bluetooth APP software to view the real-time data of the battery pack (SOC, voltage, current, temperature, single-cell voltage, etc.) within 5 meters
Q: “Battery life problem, how to use can prolong life?”
100% DOD cycle life > 2000 times, 80% DOD cycle life > 4000 times.
Q: ”Are Cenerius LiFePO4 Lithium batteries safe?”
A: Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. Cenerius lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All Cenerius LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, Cenerius LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.
Q: ”Can I use Cenerius LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?”
No. Cenerius LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.
Q: ”Can I charge Cenerius LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels?”
Yes, you can charge Cenerius LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. You should size your charge controller based on the voltage and current output of your solar array setup. That will ensure that your charge controller can process and regulate the power coming from your solar panels. Take a 24V MAX. 22 amps output solar system as example. You would need a solar charge controller that can handle 24 volts and 27.5 amps (125% of your max current output).
Q: ”Can I charge Cenerius LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?”
LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C). If you have frequent low-temp charging needs, we recommend you our self-heating series. If you have occasional low-temp needs we recommed you our 12V 100Ah Smart battery. Cenerius 12V 100Ah Smart LiFePO4 batteries include the low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point. If necessary (not recommended), you can push the low-temp protection button twice, then the BMS would allow your battery to charge under the freezing point for emergency use.
Q: ”How do I store Cenerius LiFePO4 lithium batteries?”
It is recommended to store Cenerius LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 6 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH.
12V 100AH QUESTIONS
Q: “Looking for recommendations on a 36V 100 amp trolling motor battery set up. Would prefer 3 12v 100amp batteries. Are your batteries compatible with the power pole charge system?”
They are generally supported. Unless it is not programmable, or there is no display or no buttons to set parameters. By the way, our battery are not designed for starting engines.
Q: “Would I need a battery controller so I don’t overcharge? I am building a self-sufficient energy source, Utilizing 200 watts solar panel. Just something small and mobile for small applications.”
No worries about the over-charge problem, the BMS system will protect our battery from over-charge, over-discharge, overcurrent, overload, overheating, and short circuit.
The MPPT charge controller is also necessary, it can collect more solar energy efficiently. For example, your 200W solar panel can generate 0.9 kWh per day, if the MPPT is not connected, the battery can only collect 0.4-0.5 kWh energy. Connect MPPT can help the battery collect more than 0.6 kWh energy.
Q: “Is your battery compatible to run in parallel with my battery? Seems to have the same BMS and all specs.”
Due to the different manufacturers of battery parts and accessories, we do not recommend connecting the battery in series and parallel with other brands, which will affect battery function and also affect your product warranty.
Q: “Does it come with screws for the terminals if so what size?”
The terminals come with 2 screws for 100Ah and the size is M8*16mm (L). The M8 national standard screw corresponds to the American standard screw specification is 5/16.
Q: “Can this battery be used as a marine house battery?”
Sure, you can use this battery for your marine house, besides, Cenerius battery is widely used for Marine, Car, Golf car, RV, Solar power Systems, Home Energy Storage, Trolling Motor, Boat, motorhome & camper, etc.
Q: “Can this battery run a trolling motor?”
Yes, as long as the motor current of the boat is less than or equal to 50A.
Q: “Can I parallel a 100 amp battery with a 2 or 300 amp battery?”
No, you cannot mix batteries of different sizes and brands. This can cause damage or shorten the battery life.
A 100 amp is not the same size as a 300 amp. So the user cannot do this.
Q: “Would a minnkota mk440d 4 bank onboard charger work for the 12v 100ah batteries? It has a charging voltage of 14.4 and a float voltage of 13.4”
You will need a 14.6V charger to match our 12V battery, and the regular charger can't match our LiFePO4 batteries.
Users have to use a LiFePO4 battery charger or a charger that has a lithium option if use LiFePO4 batteries.
Q: “Can these batteries be used on a 24 volt trolling motor?”
Yes, you can use these batteries on your 24V trolling motor.
However, you need have to ensure that your motor power must be less than 3000 watts, and the maximum current of the motor can not exceed 50 amps.
36V 100AH QUESTIONS
Q: “What charger should I use if I put three of these in series for my 36v golf cart?”
Here are two methods for you to choose the charger:
① Use a 14.6V LifePO4 battery charger to charge each battery separately
② Use a 43.8V LifePO4 battery charger to charge batteries together
